Background
“Forgiveness” was written and produced between March 2020 and September 2021 as a response to the confinement during, and subsequent release from, Covid lockdowns. By turns provocative, electrifying and cathartic, the piece moves through diverse genres, including progressive rock, electronic indie, jazz, fusion, cinematic, post-rock, experimental and world rhythms.
Each of the parts has its own distinctive character – the minimal, ambient electro-jazz build of “Part I: Reflection”, the raw guitar, rhythmic sway and kinetic cycles of “Part II: Negotiation”, and the delicate piano resolution, “Part III: Acceptance”.
