There are nods to artists such as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Jeff Beck, Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, Phish, Porcupine Tree, Brand X, Yes, Pat Metheny and Al Di Meola. But If Not If’s very particular approach to composition and instrumentation are always front and centre – fresh, vivid, dynamic and bristling with emotion.
